The real world’s a bitch

It’s been almost a month. My friend Bob said to me “Nice blog you got there. Starts with a bang and dies out. Just like all the rest of them.”

I don’t want it to die out.

I also want to stay employed. I’m funny that way. So I make priority calls – one of which is to focus on getting my job done. When I have time to work on this I will.

I’m also kinda fond of being married to The Wife. It’s that time of the year when “Back to School” nights and first this’s and first that’s happen, and I have to make time for that stuff too.

As a result, the blog suffers. I’m ok with that. What I’m not ok with is leaving it sit that way with 3 draft posts needing to be finished (one of them for about 6 weeks!) and 3 more that are ready to be written. So I’m going to find a way to get at least 3 posts a week out for the next month. If I can’t manage that, then it’s going to have to die. Let’s see what happens by the time of the next (October) beer dinner – if I can’t do 12 posts (not including the 3 drafts, so that means 15 posts) that are not just “oh crap, too busy today to write a post” posts (uhh, Ron, isn’t that what this is? Shh, they may not notice), then it looks like I’ll have to shut down my playground and try again at some other time. Maybe by then it will be a good habit. In the mean time, I need to start finishing some of those posts – I got 6 to finish this week!
